Elementary Teacher Inspires 1400’s
Hope is a source of strength, inspiration and belief that something good will happen. No name has fit so well for an individual as Hope Brown of Berthold, North Dakota. As a wife, mother of two boys and school teacher, Hope has provided inspiration to those she loves and teaches on a daily basis. When she was diagnosed with liver cancer earlier this year, those friends and family immediately sought to use what she taught them to provide her inspiration to carry on.
As the chemotherapy treatments began, Hope made sure she could continue to support her boys and students by keeping her courtside seat warm as the school’s basketball team made it through the state tournament. The Berthold community rallied behind Hope by helping with their basic needs and a successful fundraiser.
Inspired by the community and Hope’s place in it, the 1400’s convened in May and agreed to contribute to the outpouring of support with a gift of $2,000.
