Behind the Door On the 14th Floor

Board of Directors

The Board of the 1400’s is a diverse group of individuals, living in areas across the country and enjoy congregating around a campfire during hunting season, a hearth during the holidays and Room 1400 in Las Vegas in December.

Grew up in North Dakota now living in Colorado where I work in an industry that promotes and believes in the heritage and values of the western way of life.  My core belief is that the cup is always half full and I wanted to find a way to give a hand to those who need it.

- Director #1, Palmer Lake, Colorado

Your life is your life, but the little things you do for others during this journey, are what really matter. The 1400’s is a way for a group of friends to put their words into action.

“The best part of your life is when your family becomes your friends, and your friends become your family.” – Danice Whitfield

- Director #2, Grand Fords, North Dakota

A small town North Dakota guy who thinks his family and his friends come first.  I’ve been blessed with the best friends and best family a guy could ask for, so being part of the 1400’s to help those who haven’t been as lucky as me or my friends required no thought.  “Only a life lived for others is worth living” Albert Einstein

- Director #3, Stanley, North Dakota

Carpe diem! quam minimum credula postero!  Seize the day.  Trust as little as possible in tomorrow.  This little Latin quote has become my mantra.  I grew up and continue to live in North Dakota and enjoy the outdoors and what the land has to offer.  I enjoy the simpler pleasures in life with family and friends that are available under the northwestern sky.  As someone who has been blessed with the unselfish giving from others, I am honored to be a part of an organization that gives back to those who are less fortunate.

- Director #4, Bismarck, North Dakota

Small town North Dakota kid who is happy to say I still carry the ‘do anything for a friend, family or a stranger in need’ mentality.  I’m proud to be a member of this organization and to call each member a great friend.  I believe the 1400’s is a great thing for those who are giving and those who will receive.

- Director #5, Graceville, Minnesota

I have been blessed with good health, great family, and the best friends a guy could ask for.  Being able to be part of an organization that gives back to those in need….well, there was never a second thought.  The good Lord above has truly dealt me a good hand and through the 1400’s I hope to bring some level of comfort and support to those who may be struggling.

- Director #6, Devils Lake, North Dakota

I was born and raised on a farm in North Dakota.  Living in the Arizona desert now, but always yearning to go home.  Lending a helping hand to those that could use it means alot to this group, and I’m proud to be a member.  With these guys, I’m always looking forward to good times together and sharing the vision of the 1400’s.

- Director #7, Gilbert, Arizona

Years ago I managed a charity with a similar purpose and since returning to my beloved South, that satisfaction of helping others in such a meaningful way has been missed.  Having friends across the country who share similar values is special to me, and it is no surprise that this group, together, chose to create the 1400’s.  My Dad would be proud.

- Director #8, Leland, North Carolina

I was raised in a small town.  Even though my life is quite busy now, I will never forget the core values of family, friends, and helping those in need.  I believe that being a part of an organization like the 1400s explains who you really are.  I guess that is just how I was brought up.

- Director #9, Troy, Ohio

I grew up in a small North Dakota town with the best family anyone could ask for.  I also grew up with the best friends anyone could ask for.  To top it off, I married a woman from that small town that is the love of my life and mother of my childern.  God has given me more than I deserve and I feel very humbled by that.  It’s an honor to be a part of the 1400s and be able to give a little bit back.

- Director #10, Fargo, North Dakota
